“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing”.
Men and women are searching for pleasure security, tranquility and a utopian world.  Our society is in a mess today!  Families are splitting up and children are becoming wild and unruly.   The future is uncertain to many...

Listen to me carefully, please!  Our main problem in this world is universal and cannot be solved by any governmental program or political promise.  All systems of social living must recognize that we live in a world of sinners.  As people try to straighten out their lives and fix the world, they must realize, “without Christ, we can do nothing”.
Without Christ We Can’t See!
We are born spiritually blind at birth.   “And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.  And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?  Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him...” (John  9:1-3).
Notice, the man wasn't looking for Jesus, but Jesus passed by.  He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith!  When the Pharisees later questioned the man, he answered,
“Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence He is, and yet He hath opened mine eyes....”   (John 9:30).

We too are blind from birth!  “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (I Cor. 2:14).  People don't see spiritual truth without the indwelling Holy Spirit!
Without Christ We Can’t Survive!
“All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made”(John 1:3).   We drink His water, it is not ours.  He sends the rain on the just and the unjust...  Summer draughts cause even atheists to pray!  Thank God for every breath of His air you breath!  The hospitals are full of people gasping for each breath today...  The food you put on your table comes from the Lord Jesus!  He has blessed you!  I know, I know, you say, “I've worked hard to have what I have...”  Listen to me, please dear friend.  Without Christ, you can do nothing!  If He decides to bless you with good health to work, thank Him and praise Him!  In one second your life can change if God so decides.  You can lose your health, lose your job, lose everything, but God is merciful and longsuffering...  He tolerates even those who ignore Him.
Without Christ We Can’t Serve God!
Maybe you do not understand this.  To be a servant of the Lord Jesus you must be born again, wearing the robe of Christ's righteousness.  “All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags” (Isa. 64:6).  I could put on a green army uniform and army boots but they would not allow me to serve in the national army.  I must enlist first and qualify to join the army.

You can dress up in religion, be baptized as a baby, but that doesn't qualify you as a child of God.  You must enlist first, by confessing that you are a sinner and asking Jesus to forgive you and to come into your heart!  “As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me”.  Without Christ, you can’t bear fruit, you can’t serve Him.
Without Christ We Have No Savior!
I cannot save your soul, no other person can, nor any priest, nor any church, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).   The great Apostle Paul “thought” he was a good man because he was following the traditions of his religion.  He was a good moral man but he was condemned already because his way was not God's way.  There came a time when Paul changed on the road to Damascus after Jesus spoke to him.  “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” “...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”(Acts 9:6 - 16:31).  He went from believing in religion to believing in the person of Christ, our Saviour.  No religion saves souls, Jesus saves!  No church saves souls, Jesus saves!  Salvation is only through your personal belief in    the living Christ.  I beg you to receive Christ into your heart!

                                                                                                                                                        Tom Meador

WHAT ON EARTH CAN YOU DO?
